our last speaker of the winter season was Dr Ellie Blakelock who spoke a bout the secrets of the Anglo-Saxon goldsmiths. Her talk was based on her 3 years of research on the Staffordshire Hoard and her talk was a real tour de force, enjoyed by a near capacity audience.
